Liberty Pictures has been in existence since pre-independence India. Started by Mr. Lala Khushinand in Multan (Now in Pakistan), the company forayed into Film Distribution and Cinema. After partition, the company moved to Delhi and then eventually to Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The company operated two movie theatres, Maharaja and Raj Cinemas respectively. Under the guidance of Lalaji's son Mr. Dev Dutt (Recipient of Dada Sahib Phalke Award) and later his Grandson Mr. Vijay Dutt, the company distributed many blockbusters like Barsaat, Aag, Parasmani, Jhansi Ki Rani, Mere Mehboob, Do Raaste and many more.
The company was idle for a while until Lalaji's great grandson, Devesh Dutt revived the banner. The focus of the company is now on film production. Devesh is a Writer-Director with a Degree in Animation & Film Making from The Art Institute of Los Angeles, USA. A member of Film Writers Association of India, he is also a Lyricist and Music Composer. along with his sister Bindiya Dutt, a creative partner, holds a Masters degree in Filmmaking and Television Production from Michigan State University, USA. She is an Anchor, Documentary Film Maker and Author of the Book titled, The Art of Anchoring TV and Live Events.
With a passion for making films, Liberty Pictures promises to deliver loads of creative projects. All our movies are made on 35mm Full Frame Cameras. We use Jimmy Jib, Dolly Tracks, Steady cams, GoPro, Sliders etc. to get the best camera angles. We take Lights as seriously as camera and have all varieties of them. Sound capturing is a very important aspect as sync sound is better and filled with more emotions compared to dubbing. We like to spend a lot of time on pre-production as that is where the film is actually drafted and then in post production which is where the product is finalized.
Our main focus revolves around Feature Films, TV Commercials, Travel Shows, Music Videos, Corporate Videos, Short Films and Concept Wedding Films.
